Our Story

At URI, we recognize the difference between average and exceptional care, and exceptional care requires the highest levels of clinical education and training.

As the first east coast residency program by a private practice, we have been leading post-professional education since 2007. In the early years, we offered a limited number of courses but quickly adapted to meet the demands of the physical therapy field expanding into multiple residency and fellowship programming as well as an array of continuing education courses and certifications.

Our programs are designed to cultivate experts in the fields of physical therapy, occupational therapy, and athletic training. All of our offerings center around the development of skilled clinical reasoning and hands-on skill development informed by knowledge of best evidence and integration of the values and characteristics unique to each patient.

The URI faculty consists of multiple nationally respected experts from their respective fields who bring a wealth of teaching experience across various platforms, including entry-level education, post-professional education, and presentation at state and national conferences.
