Dr. Mark Powers is primary faculty with Upstream Rehab Institute’s Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship and a physical therapist/clinic director practicing in Savannah, GA. He is also an instructor for the URI Modern Pain Science course. Dr. Powers obtained his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Armstrong Atlantic State University. He has achieved board certification in orthopaedics (OCS), completed an Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship program through Nxt Gen Institute of Physical Therapy, and is recognized as a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. Dr. Powers has previously published a narrative review looking at the role of mirror neurons and observation in rehabilitation and he has presented at regional conferences discussing the role of therapeutic neuroscience education and clinical language in treatment of chronic pain.
